Nov 28: Bangkok Airport still remains closed and as of this writing, the police have made no attempt to expel protesters. You can find out the latest news as it happens from Twitter
If you are following the Bangkok Airport situation, another useful tool for the latest information is Twitter, the service used by 1000s of people to send public short messages about what they’re doing. There are scores of people on Twitter monitoring what’s happening at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang Airports, with the Twitter feed about Bangkok Airport continually updating with new tidbits of information.
See the Twitter search page for Bangkok Airport. I’ve found this useful alongside the other news sources about Bangkok airport updates I’ve cited previously.
It’s now Day 3 of the airport occupation, and there has still been no word about the police moving to expel protesters. It seemed likely it would happen last night, but nothing has occurred so far. The airport is meant to reopen tomorrow on the 29th November according to an Airport spokesperson, but it’s hard to see how that will happen even if the protesters are evicted tonight – there will be a big clean up operation required and time for the staff to return to the airport and get all the systems up and running again.
