The public taxi stands at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport have moved again – but there’s also a nice new airport transit hotel too, in the shape of Best Western Premier.

Just updated my posts on where to find a taxi at Bangkok Airport – they moved the stand again, fourth time now I think since the airport opened – so you can avoid getting ripped off. Also just noticed that there is a new Bangkok Airport Hotel, the catchily titled Best Western Premier Amaranth Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel. This is right next to the Airport and has a free shuttle service to and from the airport to the hotel – you’ll be met in Arrivals. With opening rates at $58 US a night, it’s a real bargain compared to some of the other Bangkok Airport hotels. Check Agoda for current rates. You might also find Bangkok Real Time Flight Information, Price Of A Taxi From Bangkok Airport to Khao San Road and Bangkok Airport Bus Routes useful.

Are any news when train line to BKK airport will be opened?

Hi Vi, the first official test happened in December and apparently it should start running sometime in 2010 – however, given the launch date has been postponed numerous times, no-one seems to be counting on that!

I see :) I remmember reading about new railway line more then year ago and was surprised it was still not working when I was week ago in Bangkok.

Yes, I’m keen to see it working too – one of the terminals appears to be very near to my apartment, so it could be handy! As soon as it launches, I’ll be writing about it on Travelhappy.
