Diving With Great White Sharks In Australia

by Chris Mitchell on July 25, 2009

A quick plug for my Great White Sharks story now up on my other blog Divehappy – it’s my article (including videos I shot) for Asian Diver magazine about going cage diving with great white sharks in South Australia with living legend Rodney Fox. Rodney was attacked by a great white when he was a champion spearfisher off the coast of Australia – despite needing 412 stitches, he made a miraculous recovery and has been running expeditions to see the great whites and learn more about them for the last 40 years. It’s one of the most incredible things I’ve done whilst travelling (actually, one of the most incredible things I’ve done, ever) and you don’t need to be a diver to do it – you can stay in the cage on the surface and breathe through a hookah pumped from the deck. Anyway, if you’re interested in great white sharks, take a look.
