Hong Kong budget long haul carrier Oasis today announced they have suspended all flight operations and gone into receivership. I narrowly missed getting completely stuffed for my flight back to the UK.
Wow, talk about a lucky escape. I’m currently looking at fares to fly to London from Bangkok to go and see my friends and family, and just yesterday was looking at the Oasis Hong Kong site contemplating getting a flight from Hong Kong to London after doing a jump flight from Bangkok to Hong Kong. Oasis certainly had cheap flights – it was £355 return from Hong Kong to London.
Thankfully I didn’t actually book my ticket yesterday and this evening I saw on CNN that they had gone into receivership. Checking the site there’s no mention of refunds… I could have lost £355 and still need to buy a flight home.
Back to looking at Compare Flight Prices and using my ninja methods of finding cheap flights…
