Quick tip: Hong Kong airport has blisteringly fast wifi internet access if you have your own wireless device.
There are several wireless networks available within the airport, including one called “FreeWifi”, but I found the network “PCCW” to be the most responsive and reliable. Once you click through a “I agree” page, you have very fast internet access ready to go.
I was using my Nokia E51 cellphone’s wireless internet capability to access my email via Gmail on my phone which has become an indispensable gizmo to me while travelling.
Flights from Bangkok to Hong Kong have continued to get cheaper with AirAsia entering the market – check on Wego.com to compare AirAsia with other airline fares as they are not necessarily always the cheapest option.
