Travelhappy presents a badly taken photo of amazing Asian people and places every Friday. This week - Tokyo lanterns.

October 2005: Nighttime lanterns outside a restaurant in what's left of Tokyo old town, a warren of narrow cobbled streets near to Urawa rail station. It's very evocative to go wandering round here in the evening - and it also has my favourite ever yakitori restaurant, a tiny hole-in-the-wall where piping hot stuff on sticks is served to you straight from the grill on a six foot long pole stretching over everyone else in the restaurant. Unfortunately I have no idea what the name is or where it is, which might say something about how good Japanese beer is as well.
