My story about luxury scuba diving in the Maldives has now been published in Fah Thai magazine, with visits to Soneva Gili and Sheraton Full Moon resorts and a dive trip on the Sachika liveaboard
Back in March I headed to the Maldives with ace photographer Jez Tryner to write a story about the island nation’s amazing scuba diving. The Maldives are world famous for their marine life, and rightly so – there is an abundance of amazing sea creatures, including whale sharks and manta rays, in part thanks to the Maldivian government’s enlightened approach to protecting its waters and educating fishermen.
Jez and I spent a week on the luxury Sachika liveaboard with a very welcoming Italian group as our fellow guests, and either side of that we spent a couple of days at the six star Soneva Gili resort (written about here previously as The Ultimate Maldives Resort) and also at the Sheraton Full Moon resort.

Guess who the handsome devil is in the top right of the picture...
If all sounds a bit too glam, rest assured that we were tearing around taking photos and interviewing staff most of the time rather than sipping fruity drinks at sunset. You can read the full Maldives diving story and see the rest of the images from the article over on Divehappy.
