If you’re looking to quickly jump from Thailand to Vietnam, Bangkok Airways are offering promotional cheap flights between Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate the launch of their new flight route

Another cheap flight option has opened up for budget travellers in South East Asia – Bangkok Airways has begun flights from Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. Search on Kayak.com for a comparison of prices between different airlines. The Bangkok Air tickets are typically priced around 7500 Thai Baht each way plus tax and flights go on Fridays, Sundays and Mondays, which is not necessarily the cheapest flight.

At the moment Bangkok Airways are doing promotional fares of 3500 Baht plus tax each way from Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh City.

They’re not quite the bargain as AirAsia’s Bangkok to Hanoi flights which are usually only a couple of thousand baht each way including tax, but Bangkok Airways is usually cheaper than the traditional big airlines and also offers regular specials on its fares. Check out the list I compiled of cheap flights from Bangkok to other destinations in South East Asia – there are a lot of places you can visit for not a lot of cash.

You can also try Kayak.com as a useful flight ticket aggregator, comparing the prices from several airlines, but unfortunately not all of them, so you still have to be careful to check around. See also my review of flight aggregator site Skyscanner.net
