The recent heavy flooding in northern Thailand has damaged railway tracks, leading to the cancellation of direct services to Chiang Mai until June 8th

If you're planning to travel to Chiang Mai in the near future, best to double check your travel plans. The city itself is OK after the recent tragic floods in northern Thailand, but the rail network has suffered significant damage in several areas.
