Lego madness is in full force in Bangkok with plastic brick homages to Thailand's new international airport and a beautiful rendition of Japan's most famous temple, the Golden Pavilion
In ritzy shopping mall The Emporium today, where we find almost an entire floor taken up with a Lego display. And not just any old stack of Lego boxes either - a huge great Lego replica of the recently open Suvarnabhumi airport, Bangkok's new flight hub. The Lego sculpture managed to capture the sleek, curved lines of the terminal's exterior (Suvarnabhumi claims to be the world's biggest single terminal airport) and also some of the complexity of the interior too, showing two levels of check in desks, air bridges and cargo movers. There were some other, smaller Lego sculptures too, amongst which was my favourite - this fantastic Lego replica of the Golden Pavilion in Kyoto, arguably Japan's most famous temple which was immortalised by Yukio Mishima in The Temple Of The Golden Pavilion:
