If you're interested in finding out more about Thailand's Lanna artisans, there's a couple of useful articles online with great photos that act as a handy overview of Lanna culture
Following on from my post about the newly opened Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi in Chiang Mai and its deliberate attempt to preserve Lanna culture, I've subsequently found two interesting articles on Lanna craftsmanship, complete with photos.
One is by Lonely Planet Thailand author Joe Cummings, which describes how Chiang Mai is the centre of Lanna culture - it's called Chiang Mai: Home of the Legendary Lanna Artisans.
The other is simply called Lanna Paradise and its author Ron Emmons gives a more general overview of Lanna history and the region in the modern day, along with it culture and traditions.
