Tripwolf is a new travel social networking website that’s currently closed to the general web public until its launch at the end of next month. However, Travelhappy have got 100 invites to access Tripwolf’s Private Beta and get a first look at the site
Travel is one of the booming areas on the Web – for travellers, there is a near-endless array of websites that provide information about virtually every destination. As much as travel is about places though, it’s also about people – and Tripwolf.com is a new site that looks to try and combine information about destinations and also provide a social network to be in touch with other travellers in the same locations too. It’s like a travel Facebook essentially, but with a much less cluttered interface and focussed use to it.
Going from the info available on Tripwolf about Bangkok, the information on destinations is still quite sporadic at the moment and will probably grow as more users come in once the site launches officially. Tripwolf clearly wants to go beyond the bare bones of info about countries and try and collate anecdotes and tips from travellers about each place, which is a hugely ambitious task, especially when covering the whole world.
I am already quite impressed with Tripwolf and will be interested to see how it grows when it launches officially at the end of June. However, if you want to play with Tripwolf before it launches publicly, we’ve got 100 private beta invites to give away – simply go to this Tripwolf page and sign up.
