I am an 18 year old Student from Adelaide, Australia and although I am not travelling too often at the moment, I plan to kick my solo (eg. no parents) at the end of this year with a trip to - Thailand! I think its a great idea, but as Chris Osborne said, only pay for the blogs that are good enough. I know I will definitely be writing blogs everywhere I go for my own personal satisfaction, at least this way I may have somewhere to actually share my experiences!

Good point Chris. I would definitely run it on a very selective basis, only publishing posts I thought were good quality - and I’m fairly picky. I guess it would also have to be exclusive - there’s not much point paying for posts if they turn up on the writer’s own blog the next day.

I think the biggest problem this idea faces is simply getting enough people to find out about it and submit quality stuff. Travelhappy is still pretty small at the moment - 500 to 700 visitors a day - so I can’t see that many people showing an interest at the moment.

Only pay for what you post, this way writters will understand the content needs to be good inorder for them to get paid.
