Planning Your Angkor Wat Exploration

You can easily make your own way from Siem Reap to the Angkor archeological park by hiring a taxi driver to take you. It’s illegal for tourists to drive motorbikes or cars themselves in the Angkor park so hiring a driver is a necessity. You may also want a driver who can be a guide – there are plenty of options you can book online. Your hotel will also be happy to organise it for you. Having your own driver also means you can be flexible and choose your own itinerary of where to go and at what time.
