A big part of the pleasure of Hanoi is watching the busy world go by in the atmospheric Old Quarter. It’s also a great city for eating out.
All the same, there are plenty of attractions, including the ancient Temple of Literature & National University, the mausoleum of the revolutionary leader Ho Chi Minh, as well as the Ho Chi Minh Presidential Palace.
There are also interesting museums, including the National Museum, the Women’s Museum, and the Fine Arts Museum.
