While Hanoi is Vietnam’s political capital, Ho Chi Minh City (or Saigon) is the country’s commercial centre. But, away from the city’s crowded skyline, there is plenty for travellers to see, do, and eat.

Things To Do In Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)
Saigon has three great influences on display. First is the French colonial architecture, as seen in the Saigon Opera House and Notre Dame Square.
Many of the museums are focused on the Vietnam war, including War Remnants Museum, the Reunification Palace, and the essential Cu Chi Tunnels outside the city itself.
But Saigon is also a vibrant changing city, as reflected in monuments like the Bitexco Financial Tower with its Saigon Skydeck, offering fantastic views.
